BAYVIEW PARK, BAYVIEW

Photo 6.jpg

Located right on the foreshore of Bayview, with a stunning view out to Pittwater, Bayview Park has everything you need for a chilled outdoor ceremony. With its natural bushy surrounds right on the waters edge, it is for those wanting a more relaxed vibe to their big day. The large grassy space, is nice and flat, and is right next to the Bayview Sea Scout Hall, which can be hired for additional amenities, such as toilets, kitchen and a wet weather space.

This makes an ideal choice if you are wanting a ceremony, followed by some drinks and canapes with your guests. There are even some rustic timber benches that come with the hall which make for a cute seating option for your post ceremony refreshments.

The reserve is available to hire through the Council, while the adjoining Scout Hall can be hired through Bayview Sea Scouts for a minimal fee. This includes full access to the hall, the toilets, kitchen, garbage bins and a wet weather option that still gives you spectacular water views when you open up the wooden doors to their internal boat ramp. This opening to the water is the perfect spot to stand as you say “I do!”. The ceiling here is a little lower so you will need to check that your arch choice will fit if you need to make a last minute change of plan due to the weather. The inside of the hall is older, and has a rustic feel, but for the view you get, and the easy nature of this location, its older style can be overlooked.

There is plenty of space in the reserve to fit any size ceremony, however there is limited parking right at the park entrance. There is a larger car park available a short walk away, and another at the marina up the road if you wanted to organise a shuttle bus to collect everyone from a central point.

Although Bayview Park is not a well known spot for a ceremony, it should certainly not be overlooked. It is such a cute option, with everything you need in one spot, which is very hard to come by. It is also close by to some amazing reception venues, including our favourite the Pasadena.
