FIG TREE, WATSONS BAY

Settled in front of the romantic shores of Watsons Bay sits the most magnificent Morton Bay Fig Tree. Rich in heritage this tree is now an iconic part of Watsons Bay and its history. Located on the doorstep of Dunbar House and a 3-minute walk to Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel, it is a very popular spot to say “I Do”.

With new laws that have been put in place to protect the area you are not allowed an arch of any kind. This is not a problem, with the low hanging branches of the fig tree and the sparkling harbour in the background, you won’t miss having one! Drinks stations are still possible, however will need to be run past the council prior when obtaining your permit.

Situated in a park and right on a walkway, this spot does lend itself to on-lookers so if you’re dreaming of a private moment this may not be the location for you.

Recently renovated with beautiful sandstone tiers allows your guests to get a clear view of the action. With the grand old Fig Tree and its sparkling shoreline backdrop it is a match made in heaven.
