Rocky Point is its own little island located along the stunning foreshore of Balmoral. Absolutely perfect if you’re after something by the water but you’re not keen on getting your feet sandy!

This stunning ocean backdrop is just a short walk from Balmoral Beach, up some stairs and over some ‘rocky’ ground – hence the name! The terrain can be hard to navigate for your elderly or less mobile guests which is something to keep in mind when considering the Island. When reserving your spot on Rocky Point Island, it only entitles you to your immediate ceremony location, so there will be other members of the public walking by.

If you picture yourself by the sea on a glorious warm sunny day, this is a stunning option. Alcohol is permitted so you can totally pop those cold bottles of champagne to enjoy with your guests. If the Summer heat isn’t your jam, Spring and Autumn can work well too, but keep in mind that Winter can be a little chilly out in the sea breeze. Some other things to consider: Rocky point unfortunately does not allow rose petals, marquees or amplified music – however acoustic is fine! Your afternoon will look picturesque with all your guests making their way back from the island, along the foreshore to the Public Dining Room or Bathers Pavilion, both within easy walking distance – you won’t even need to take off your heels!
