If you’re looking for a secluded piece of peaceful bushland, then look no further than Mckay Reserve. Hidden on a ridge on the Barrenjoey Peninsula and overlooking western Pittwater, this reserve is heaven for your wedding photos.
If you are hoping to not have a traditional arch, then this location may be perfect! With the many weddings we have done here we have rarely used a traditional arch due to the spectacular scenery.
Instead, we have styled with stunning white pots filled with fresh florals, or had a floral installation attached to the over-arched tree, creating the most spectacular feature.
There is a picturesque spot further into the reserve which lends itself nicely to a drinks station – there’s a stunning view over the water and your guests will have to literally walk under/through your ceremony to get there, so it’s great if you want a change of scenery for your post ceremony celebrations.
As with most palm beach locations, there are plenty of incredible locations for your photos too.
This location is an easy one to miss so we suggest having a map attached to your invitation so there is no chance of any late comers. The terrain is also quite tricky for any elderly or less mobile guests as there are a fair amount of tree roots and rockery. Bathrooms are also not close by.
